Richmond Vale Railway & Mining Museum
Experience a journey back in time behind a steam train
![]() Today we travel to Richmond Vale up the road from Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley to The Richmond Vale Railway Museum, located in the old Richmond Main Colliery site, was formed in 1979 with the aim of preserving the Railway and Mining heritage of J&A Brown and the Hunter Valley.
Take a train ride in a diesel/steam locomotive!
Visit the Museum which contains a large range of artefacts, maps and photographs which documents the history of the Richmond Main Colliery, the development of the South Maitland Coalfields, the equipment used and the social impact of coal mining on the local communities.
Kurri Kurri MuralsWe then travel to Kurri Kurri for lunch at the Station Hotel.
After lunch we are met by a local guide for a tour of this little country town’s unique murals.
Includes luxury Coach travel to & from, morning tea, entry to the museum & train rides,
